eVENT Rain Jackets

Hello to all Club Members.

I picked up a great bargain last week from www.mainpeak.com.au

70% off sale, from $450.00 down to $135.00.

The jacket is light, weighing only 330grams, has 3-layers.

It's called a Montane Air Event Rain Jacket

Thanks for updating the site :)

Thats a really cheap jacket if its eVent material, I have a Macpac one myself and swear by it. Also I've done the Gold Coast Great Walk last year with my brother but might be joining you on the Fraser Island walk instead. Will confirm closer to the date.

Hi Dwayne.

Yes, it's a bargain, 3 Layer eVent it is. Beads water like no other jacket I've ever seen.

I've got a pair of Macpac Prophet eVent trousers that don't bead very well, Never has. I'm going to get Macpac to check it out for me in the next couple of weeks.

The Gold Coast Hinterland Great Walk is not club outing. It's just a trip I've planned for myself. I'm going solo. But if there's anyone that want to join me, there welcome.

I've decided to lead a Overnight Hike on the Conondale Range Great Walk from on the 16th June. The Fraser Island trip will be later in the year, as long the track opens. Half the Great walk tracks on Fraser are closed due to water damage.
